We also give thanks for those whose situations and health have improved. We also pray for the conflict involving Israel and Palestine and surrounding countries.

We pray for those who mourn: For all who feel the emptiness and loss of loved ones at this time, may you know God's loving care and support. We pray for the family and friends of those who have lost loved ones in recent times, remembering especially the family and friends of Jean Hoad and Carol Walsh.

Introducing David, Rachel & Phoebe Rajasekaram...

David was born and raised in Canberra in a loving Christian household, and has been involved in the Anglican Church his whole life. At the age of 13, he made a decision to personally trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. David’s almost lifelong sense of calling to Christian ministry was initially inspired by the story of the prophet Samuel, who was dedicated to God’s service as a young boy. The parishes of Wanniassa and Gungahlin were significant in nurturing his faith and providing training in ministry. David completed his theological studies at St Mark’s National Theological Centre in Canberra.

In 2014, David married the love of his life, Rachel, who is a wonderful, supportive and active partner in ministry. They have had the privilege of ministering in the Parish of Murrumburrah-Harden since late 2015, when David was appointed Priest-in-Charge.

After some years of much longing and prayer, the Lord blessed them with a beautiful daughter, Phoebe, who is definitely worth the wait!

Outside of ministry, David’s interests include music (especially classical piano), cricket (these days more as a spectator than a participant), coffee, reading, walking (or being walked by) their boisterous Labrador Monty, spending time with family, and occasional trips to the Blue Mountains or the Southern Highlands when there’s a chance for a break.

David is passionate about the clear proclamation of the gospel, the faithful teaching of God’s Word and the loving care of both church and community.

David and Rachel are excited by the opportunity to serve the Lord and His people in the Parish of Tumut, and are looking forward to this new chapter of life and ministry.
